At Massey Physiotherapy, we’re passionate about helping you achieve optimal health and wellbeing. Since 1985, we’ve been proudly serving the West Auckland community with trusted, high-quality physiotherapy care.
Massey Physiotherapy was founded by Maureen Betts, who laid the foundations for the trusted clinic we know today. In 2018, Elizabeth Costabeber became a co-owner and has helped lead the clinic into a new era of growth and excellence. In 2023, she was joined by Caleb McCollum, bringing fresh expertise and international experience from the UK. Today, Liz and Caleb proudly co-own and manage Massey Physiotherapy, continuing its strong tradition of high-quality care.
As an ACC-registered and HDANZ-accredited provider, we deliver the highest standards of care in a welcoming environment. Our expert team offers personalised, one-on-one treatments for a wide range of conditions, including pelvic health, sports injuries, occupational injuries, and post-surgical rehab.
We offer ACC-funded and private appointments, with no doctors referal required. Discounted rates are available for Gold Card and Community Services card holders, helping make expert care more accessible.

Liz joined Massey Physiotherapy in 2016 and became a proud co-owner in 2018. With experience across New Zealand and Australia in hospital, rehab, private practice, and sports settings, she brings a well-rounded approach to physiotherapy.
Her special interests include women's and pelvic health, cancer rehabilitation and pain management.,
Liz combines hands-on therapy with goal-focused treatment plans, helping clients achieve long-term results. Her friendly, approachable nature and commitment to effective care ensure a positive experience every step of the way.

Caleb McCollum

Caleb joined the team at Massey Physiotherapy in 2023, bringing experience from both New Zealand and the UK across hospital, orthopaedic, and vocational rehab settings.
A former professional Olympic weightlifter and CrossFitter, Caleb has a strong understanding of sports-related injuries—particularly in the shoulders, knees, hips, and back. He has worked with high-level teams including the Scottish Senior Women’s Rugby team and the Scottish Institute of Sport.
His interests include musculoskeletal and orthopaedic rehab, with a focus on pre/post-op care supplemented with a mix of manual therapy, and exercise-based rehabilitation. Caleb’s calm, knowledgeable approach helps clients feel confident, supported, and on track toward a pain-free recovery.

Aimee Dobson

Aimee, a local West Harbour resident, graduated from AUT in 2008 and joined Massey Physiotherapy in 2023. She has a strong background in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and is a certified McKenzie Therapist, also trained in clinical Pilates.
Her key interests include spinal health, posture, and post-natal rehabilitation. Aimee is passionate about empowering clients through education and exercise to support long-term independence and injury prevention.
With a personal background in competitive swimming, water polo, netball, kickboxing, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, she brings first-hand insight into managing sports injuries. Outside of work, Aimee is studying Architectural Technology and enjoys family life with her husband and two young children.

Naomi Watson

Naomi brings experience across hospital and private practice settings, including cardiorespiratory care, stroke and rehab, long-term elderly care, and musculoskeletal physiotherapy.
She takes a hands-on, practical approach—combining manual therapy, exercise prescription, and education to achieve lasting results. Naomi is passionate about identifying the root cause of pain and helping clients return to full health as quickly as possible.
Known for her warm, supportive manner and commitment to accurate assessment, Naomi ensures each client feels empowered throughout their rehab journey.
Outside the clinic, she enjoys gym workouts, group fitness, beach days, and hiking with her partner and friends.

James Smith

James graduated from AUT and began practicing in 2008. He has since gained a broad range of experience working within New Zealand and Australia within rural outpatient, community rehabilitation, musculoskeletal private practice, and vocational rehabilitation settings. James is an experienced physiotherapist with a special interest in supporting clients to get back to their favourite sport or activity. As a keen surfer, skateboarder and indoor climber, his goal is to get you back to the activities you love so you can live your best life right now.

Chris Lockie

Originally from Christchurch, Chris moved to Auckland in 2021. With a decade of experience as a personal trainer prior to becoming a physiotherapist, he brings a strong foundation in movement and strength training to his practice. Chris has gained experience in hospital rehabilitation wards for older adults, community care, and private practice musculoskeletal settings. He has a particular passion for treating CrossFit and sporting injuries, using an evidence-based approach to help clients recover, prevent re-injury, and achieve their performance goals. Known for his approachable and easy-going personality, Chris builds strong connections with clients, creating a supportive environment for their health journey. Outside of work, Chris enjoys coffee, CrossFit, exploring Auckland’s beaches, hiking trails, and mountain biking.

Rebekah O'Leary

Rebekah is a compassionate and empathetic physiotherapist who’s passionate about helping people return to the activities they love. She takes a personalised, evidence-based approach to care, combining hands-on techniques with exercise-based therapy to ensure treatment is both effective and enjoyable.
Her experience spans musculoskeletal physiotherapy in both hospital and private practice settings, along with exposure to neurological and respiratory conditions. Having navigated her own injuries, Rebekah understands the frustrations of recovery and the importance of supportive care — a perspective that fuels her dedication to her clients.
Outside the clinic, Rebekah stays active through running, gym workouts, and competitive Ultimate Frisbee. Whether someone is recovering from injury or surgery, or looking to enhance their physical performance, Rebekah is committed to supporting them every step of the way.
