At Massey & Waitakere Physiotherapy, we offer private appointments and sessions that may be subsidised by ACC. Fully subsidised ACC appointments require referral through the Careway pathway and must meet eligibility criteria.

ACC Pysiotherapy Care

We are an ACC-accredited physiotherapy provider for general injuries – this service provides support for injuries caused by accidents, helping cover treatment costs and making long term recovery more affordable.

We provide care for existing ACC claims and can also lodge new claims for you.

What is ACC cover and how do I know if I qualify?

  • ACC covers accident-related injuries, including sprains, maternal birth injuries, and work-related conditions or injury that have occurred in New Zealand.
  • No doctor’s referral needed - our physios can lodge your ACC claim during your first appointment however we encourage you to familiarise yourself with the criteria before your appointment.
  • Please be aware that ACC care does not cover illnesses, diseases, infections, age-related conditions or non-work related gradual injuries.
  • Subsidised treatment means ACC covers part of the cost of care and you pay a reduced rate. See our pricing page for more details.
  • Some spine, knee, shoulder, and ankle injuries may qualify for the ACC Careway Programme which is fully subsidised. Please discuss this with your physiotherapist to see if you are elegible to apply or follow the link below for more information.
